When places inspire music

Paraphrasing Friedrich Nietzsche, we could say that every place should have its “own” music and should be able to inspire or host it. Now the factory surrounded by cherry trees in Settimo Torinese has its own music.

Music and the factory:
a return to tradition

The sensation that I had when we started the first rehearsals was that there was something subterranean. When we visited the factory, we were shown the place where molecules were created from primary elements. I was surprised by the similarity between starting to work on a musical composition and the fact that everything came from below, something subterranean, just like the molecules from which rubber was made.

The rhythms
of digital industry

What does remain is a rhythmic background noise that innervates the entire factory, rather like a subterranean murmur. Naturally this invisible yet inexorable rhythm takes on many declinations as it regulates the various steps in the production process.

Bearing witness to creativity: music as a craft
